Midtown’s trails might be the preferred way for locals to get around. Follow your feet and see where nearly 50 miles of interconnected trails and paths can take you.
Monon Trail
Highly popular, 28.5-mile paved rails-to-trails greenway in Central Indiana. Stretching from Downtown Indianapolis through Carmel and Westfield, all the way to Sheridan, the Monon serves as a major alternative commuter route and a vibrant linear park for walking, running, and cycling.

Central Canal Towpath
A scenic 7.7-mile multi-use trail following the historic Central Canal. The crushed-limestone and compacted-stone path connects the Monon Trail in Broad Ripple to Riverside Park, and is a popular, tranquil route for walking, running, and cycling.

Fall Creek Greenway
Spanning roughly 13 miles, the Fall Creek Greenway meanders southwest from Fort Benjamin Harrison State Park to the Indiana University Indianapolis (IUI) campus and downtown, offering nature-forward routes for walkers, runners, and cyclists.
