OUR MISSION IN ACTION
Midtown Indy works to bring people, businesses, leaders, and resources to your neighborhoods.
With a focus on economic development and quality of life, we’re diligently working to make Midtown an even better place to live, work, and play.
WE BRING PEOPLE + RESOURCES
-
The Midtown Economic Council (MEC) is a group that helps improve the Midtown neighborhood. It's made up of leaders from five different organizations that serve about twelve neighborhoods in the area, reviews building and improvement projects, and decides which ones should get additional city funding to help make them happen.
-
The Midtown Anchor Coalition (MAC) is a group of six large, important organizations in Midtown Indianapolis. Together, they employ thousands of people and own buildings and land all over the area. These organizations are working together to make Midtown a great place to live, work, and visit by investing millions of dollars in improvements.
-
The Midtown Neighborhood Coalition brings together leaders from Midtown's 20 neighborhoods to strengthen collaboration, share resources, and build a more connected community. Through a series of convenings throughout the year, neighborhood presidents and board members exchange ideas, learn from one another, and stay informed about initiatives, funding opportunities, and resources that benefit their communities. The Coalition also creates a unified forum to identify shared priorities, amplify neighborhood voices, and advocate for investments that improve quality of life across the Midtown district.
We help lead big changes
From coordinating infrastructure improvements and tax increment financing (TIF) policy to rehabilitating neighborhoods and facilities, Midtown Indy serves as a leading voice in efforts to support and grow our region of Indianapolis.
We’ve been part of the renovation of Tarkington Park, the Maple Crossing development plan project, and the ongoing work to reimagine the spaces and offerings at 42nd and College.
