Located just north of downtown Indianapolis, Crown Hill’s development was heavily influenced by German immigrants, and today it's known for its preserved architecture and proximity to several museums and landmarks.
Crown Hill Cemetery is the resting place for notable names in Indianapolis, including U.S. President Benjamin Harrison, three U.S. Vice Presidents, gangster John Dillinger, authors James Whitcomb Riley and Booth Tarkington, businessman Col. Eli Lilly, and actor James Baskett.
