mapleton-fall creek
Mapleton-Fall Creek is a historic neighborhood named for the sugar maples that once dominated the area and the Fall Creek waterway that forms its southern boundary.
Architect George E. Kessler designed Fall Creek Parkway as a scenic boulevard in the early 1900s, which helped attract residents and establish the area as a desirable residential community. The neighborhood features tree-lined streets with early 20th-century homes; easy access to the Monon and Fall Creek Greenway trails; several pocket parks and greenspaces; many active faith-based and community associations; and more than 230 small businesses and organizations.
Boundaries: 38th Street (north); Fall Creek Parkway (south); Meridian Street (west); Central Avenue (east)
